Fear not...

Recently I have been walking a new journey, learning how to walk in my Savior's footsteps, and how to walk in His light, (1 John 1:7). So here is the story...

A few weeks ago I had this sudden urgency to watch the movie The Last Sin Eater. So I searched the library, requested it, they would not buy it, asked friends, looked on the internet, and tried to find anyway possible I could watch it for free.

Nothing...

Then, I believe the Holy Spirit told me, I remembered that there was the book. So I requested it at the library and started reading it.

The Last Sin Eater, at the point I was at, exhibited and explained the walk of these two children walking in faith and standing boldly for their God. Yes, they were scared but the Lord told them not to fear, so they stood boldly and courageously!!

Then a new situation arose in my life where I needed to stand up for my faith and be bold. I didn't really want to stand up and I didn't know how. I didn't want to stand boldly because I knew it would cause problems and conflicts, I just wanted to feel safe and comfortable. But then I knew I had to be bold and courageous to show my Jesus in this person's life. So finally, still struggling with the battle between flesh and spirit, through my Bible reading and reading The Last Sin Eater, I realized I was afraid and I wasn't trusting God. I don't know why I didn't realized that earlier, but, I know now, God orchestrated His perfect timing. So then I wanted to finish the Sin Eater as fast as I could to learn and grow and see how they handled their circumstances.

So after I finished reading the Last Sin Eater I turned to the Word of God...

"Fear not..." Gen. 21:17
"Fear not, for I am with you..." Isa. 41:10
"Fear not, I will help you..." Isa. 41:13
"Therefore, do not fear them..." Mat. 10:26
"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Psalm 118:6
"For He Himself has said, 'I will not leave you nor forsake you.' So we may boldly say: 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?'" Hebrews 13:6
"In that day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul." Psalm 138:3
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."Deuteronomy 31:6

The Bible goes on and on about how to be bold, courageous, and to fear not.

So anyways, God filled me up with courage and strength and boldness through my situation. Through His spirit, He gave me the words to speak. Now, I have said what God directed me to say and now I must.....WAIT!

Waiting,oh, waiting! Isn't it so hard. I never really understood waiting on the Lord before. Yeah the Bible says to wait upon the Lord, but I never put it into my life. I heard it but did not do it. Then I was reminded of a song, "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord." (Strength will rise by Chris Tomlin)
"But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..." Isaiah 40:31 So when I wait, God will give me strength, boldness, and courage. Now at this point of my life, in this circumstance I must...WAIT UPON THE LORD!!!

Through trials and tribulations I have been learning so much!!!

-I am reminded of God's promises to me in His Word, His faithfulness, His love.
-He has told me to FEAR NOT, but trust in Him for He is with me. He has told me to be "Not ashamed of the Gospel, not ashamed of Jesus Christ," and "stand and boldly say that this is my life", ( Not Ashamed by Jeremy Camp) and (Romans 1:16).
-He has reminded be "Ask and it will be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7 When I ask for courage and boldness He will give it to me in His timing!

-He also reminded me that the people who live in the dark, who don't know the Savior, will not like the light. There will be conflicts, we should expect them for God's Word says there will be, but we should face them with joy. "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed." John 3:20 BUT, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials..." James 1:2
-He has also exhibited His perfect timing in my life. All of a sudden His spirit told me to find the book The Last Sin Eater. And at His perfect timing, I read it.
-He showed me all I must do is, obey, and he will do the rest.
-He has told me to wait and He will give me strength.

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16

(Let this not be to boast in myself but I pray that God would use the things that He is growing in me to help others around me.)
